It is a wonderful world …

… yet plenty goes on, to bring it and us down.

The words to that piece of music are not great lyrics in of and by themselves.

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They’re really saying I love you

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more than I’ll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world

Yet somehow the words and music come together to make a good if not great? Popular song.

Is there a point being made here? … Not really. Just find myself humming along. Thinking about the time it was popular. 1970.

I was turning 21 and my family was all together, prior to later deaths. It was difficult to discern how it all turned out eventually.

Slightly different and in a vaguely ironic way. This was next up from the tube.
